Here we are finally entering August and our new normal has taken reign. Many fans out there are stating their dissatisfaction in the fact that the NFL, along with other major sports, are going to be playing the black National Anthem before our own. Many claim that they will no longer watch these sports while others, like me, could honestly give a shit. I just want to watch my boys play ball. Do I think it's right that now after weeks of protesting of BLM seem to matter more than my others' in some senses, no. I just see everybody equally and just care about the goddamn football game.

The future season, THIS season, is at risk of even being played due to players opting out for their safety as well as their families' as well. I totally get it. I don't think anybody ever thought that CoVID-19 would still be barreling toward an iceberg straight ahead. States have mandated face masks or coverings in public and cases keep rising. Many stadiums are going to be playing games with roughly 20 percent of fans and social distancing in place. I couldn't imagine being a season ticket holder while this stuff is going on because I'd be pissed if I couldn't go to every game.

As all know already for a month now, ex-Carolina Panther, Cam Newton, signed with New England. At first, I was a little hesitant on this signing but after seeing him jump right in and get to work on the study book, working with N'keal and Julian Edelman, I feel like this could be a good thing. We shall see what McDaniels and Belichick have up their sleeves for Cam but I'm hoping it's something good.

There also is no preseason games. So it's simply going to be a straight shooting season. No four practice games, 2 of which are held after practices with the opposing teams. (At least that's how New England does it anyway). This change I think I'm actually okay with honestly because teams play a few of their starters at some point in the preseason and injuries can come from it. The big one that came to my mind was losing Julian Edelman in a preseason game to his ACL and he was out for the season....before it even got started. What sucked was we had just won the Super Bowl so we were kicking off the season at Home on a Thursday, without him geared up.

Wake me up when September comes.
